Chartwell Press publishes books with timeless appeal, for a discriminating audience.
Chartwell Press was founded in 2015. It is named after the home of Winston Churchill, historian, author, and British prime minister who was one of the decisive figures of World War II. Churchill was a master of the English language, and he was one of the leaders in fighting the totalitarian menace that threatened the free world in the 1930s and 40s. That is why the logo of Chartwell Press shows a book in the foreground, and the crow-stepped gables of Chartwell House in the background.
The mission of Chartwell Press is to produce books with timeless appeal – books that will be relevant decades from now. We do not chase the whims of fashion or current events, nor do we worry about what is “hot” and “trending now.” We are in the business of producing well-written books with staying power that appeal to a discriminating audience. We care not only about what is said, but how it is said.
As of the launch of this website, we are very small. But we won’t remain that way. Our offerings will expand, and we will be able to continue to offer our readers the kinds of books they seek. Please check back with us from time to time to see what’s new, or follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
